Location

Pray, Montana. Paradise Valley.

Twenty private acres on US-89, between Livingston and Yellowstone's north entrance — the same road that was the only way into the park when it was established in 1872.

Yellowstone

Forty minutes south.

North Entrance, Gardiner

The world's first national park, established in 1872. The north entrance at Gardiner is the closest — a straight run south down US-89 through the rest of Paradise Valley.

Paradise Valley

The valley itself.

The Yellowstone River runs the length of it, with the Absaroka Range rising to the east and Emigrant Peak on the skyline. Livingston anchors the north end, Yellowstone's north entrance the south. Working ranch land, elk winter range, and not much else.

A historic railroad town on the Yellowstone River — the original gateway to Yellowstone, before the highway through Paradise Valley existed. Main Street runs galleries, restaurants, and shops, all still working around the old depot.
